Reviews:
Winchester can be a pretty challenging place when you are looking for a seafood restaurant. the East Side Raw Bar & Grill is pretty much par for the course. The food is OK, it’s nothing special and the menu is not very diverse. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a road side seafood/bar. in fact, the place has a permanent odor of cigarette smoke. The interior is not much to look at and really doesn’t help the mediocre food. They seem more interested in the “bar” than the “grill”.
Have you eaten at this establishment? What do you think?
Used to have great scallop dinners – best in the area. My wife and I ordered it last night (8/19/09) and it was uneatable. One of the worst meals I have ever had served. Assume that the owners or at least the cook has been replaced.
I was there last week on a Tuesday 02-09-11 the place had six people sitting at the bar, and the lady that ran the place was bartending as well as waitressing, we waited 7 minutes to be seated we were a party of six, another ten minutes to take our order, the length for survices may have been differnt had her waitress been able to work, they had all you could eat crab legs for one price and you also got all the shrimp you could eat or whatever else you ordered, the prices in my opinion were a tad high for just plain meals 19.99 for a pound of shrimp, and the blackened catfish cajun style wasnt the greates,The waitress was very pleasant snd the crab and shrimp were fantastic but a little rich for antone counting pennies
My husband and I visted your place today. It was early around 5:30. We set in the non-smoking area. We meet friends there. There was six of us. My friends had already ordered. Four of us had all you can eat. And two had dinners. We only received some of the side dishes. And the seafood was delivered at diffent times. When we had finished the next order took way to long. This happened thru out the meal. All four all you can eat customers was consantly waiting. Either for food or drinks. The food was very salty, and pricey. I would not recommend this to any of my friends. You need to hire more waitresses and have better service or lower the price. Because it ain’t worth it.
